Call for copyeditor

Transmission, the literary arts magazine of Satellite Collective, calls for an editor with at least two years’ professional copyediting experience and a graduate degree in English. This is an unpaid position, but a plum opportunity to direct up-and-coming and established writers to the magazine, engage in conversation to strengthen their work, and fine tune text at the proofreading and fact-checking levels. We prefer candidates who have literary editing experience in a range of genres, including poetry, short and long fiction, and critical nonfiction. But we will consider editors with other backgrounds, such as education or business, if they have proven track records of delivering quality copy.

We seek an editor who is willing to take on the demands of three to four tight production schedules per year. We also prefer a candidate with both print and digital copyediting experience.

Please send your resume and two nonfiction writing samples (no more than five pages each) to Executive Editor Janice Kidd at Satellite Collective: jrobertson81@gmail.com. If selected, be prepared to undergo a copyediting test.
